The client didn’t want to use timber as a subframe material and opted for a composite one instead.
With a deck that’s sunk below ground level, we would always advise on composite lumber over timber, as it will never decay.
Below ground you have very little airflow to dry timber so we used Millboard Plas-Pro lumber.
He then chose to have Millboard’s limed oak decking to finish the project.
