With a deck that’s sunk below ground level, we would always advise on composite lumber over timber, as it will never decay. When I was told it was impossible to heat and curve Millboard decking, I had to give it a go, you never know until you try. Well, I smashed it, being the first person to successfully heat and curve the bullnose boards to a clean 2.4 m radius. I’d created the first custom curved Millboard
The client in Kingswood had a rotten oak deck and it needed replacing. The clients chose to go with Millboard brushed basalt main boards. We complimented the main deck with Millboard’s smoked oak picture frame.
These clients wanted to cover over a rather old and tired crazy paved patio. They also wanted to raise the height, making it easier to access from the doors to the deck and from the deck to the garden. They chose Millboards antique oak as the main deck board with complimentary golden oak picture frame.
This was a replacement of a rotten timber deck. The subframe had rotted from a lack of airflow to the joists, as they were in closed by the garden walls. We opted for a plastic pro subframe so it would become a problem in the future by rotting again. Then we laid Millboard limed oak
These lucky clients had purchased a swim spa and needed not just the deck, but also the digging out and concrete slab installed, prior to delivery.
